My horse was being bitten by flies
"Initially sceptical whether or not these would end up being dust collectors in my tackroom happily can say well worth the money spent. Our property shares boundaries with sheep & cattle properties and we have millions of tiny black flies that bite to draw blood and once they have drawn blood will cluster in large numbers, my horse ends up with swollen fetlocks and pasterns and pressure hoof cracks from constant stamping. I spray fly products but these wear off. I used the flyboots initially sceptical that she'd stamp these off or they would be ill fitting. I checked her several times throughout the day and they had not moved and she was resting peacefully in the shade. Slightly wet sweat marks on the outside of fetlock from the Velcro tape (temps were around 26°) l left them off on the 43° days however and sprayed her with Flygon. Our other mare also had never worn boots and accepted these easily. I purchased both full and cob sizes and both were true to size. Not sure how they will wash with so many Velcro straps so l think l'll just hose and scrub."
