Breastplates/Martingales

The Breastplate is designed to ensure the saddle does not slide back, and it remains in position tucked in nicely behind the horse's shoulder. Our range of Breastplates covers all disciplines including Showjumping & Eventing, Pony Club, Barrel Racing, Campdrafting, Stock and Station Riders & Drovers, as well as Pleasure Riding. A Martingale is designed to prevent the horse putting its head above the point of the rider's control. It is a piece of tack connected to both the bridle (via the reins for a running martingale, or via the noseband for a standing martingale) and the saddle, and should remain passive unless the horse lifts its head too high at which point it takes effect.
